Washin' that face!

Today I wanted to talk a little bit about my Clarisonic Mia 2. I'm obsessed. I got it for Christmas after a lot of extensive research (I will not pull the plug on ANY expensive items anymore without research on research ... totally opposite of how I used to shop in college). On Black Friday my mom and I went up to Ulta to get the scoop on the Mia vs Mia 2. The sales lady explained that the Mia 2 has 2 speeds (duh- 2!) and also beeps when it is time for you to switch sections on your face ...and comes in pretty colors, but that is neither here nor there. ;) I decided in my head I needed the 2 and we ended up finding it on Overstock.com for the price of the 1 on that same afternoon, so I was pumped!

I had to wait until Christmas for this gem, but it is amazing! I use it every evening and sometimes I will use it in the mornings. You simply put your face wash of choice on the brush and hold the brush to your face, it basically does the work from there! It has 4 "zones" that it washes - 20 seconds on your chin/nose area, 20 seconds for your forehead, and 10 seconds for each cheek. The Mia 2 beeps, which I just love, so that I know to change zones. I've never really used the second speed, but at least I have the option!

The Mia is waterproof which makes it fair game to use in the shower and it also comes with a cute little travel case so you can take it on vaycay! Also, I charged it at Christmas and have not had to charge it again yet (we're talking almost 2 months, people!)

My biggest concern when getting the Mia was that I would have the "purge" stage, where you just break our like crazy because all of the impurities are being brought to the top of your skin. There was a decent amount of people mentioning this on the reviews. However, I didn't notice this tooooooo bad. I did break out a little, but I have noticed my face is now brighter, healthier, and softer! It's like giving yourself a little facial every day. I highly recommend the investment for the Mia!

In no way was I asked by Clarisonic to do this review. These opinions are all my own -- I truly love it!

Let me know if you have any questions!! XO, E

Checker print/pink with Red!

Hello all!

Hope you had a great weekend!  Boy did we find a little gem up in Grand Haven, MI.  We stayed at the Harbor House Inn.  So cute!!  Check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Here is today's Monday Mode.

Boots:  Payless  //  Leggings: Motherhood (in Vegas)  //  Dress (top/tunic):  Forever 21  //  Sweater: Nordstrom  //  Jewelry:  Forever 21

Stay warm tonight!  It is supposed to be another snowy night!!

....Not only was it snowy, but it then got warm & melted! I was excited to prepare for rain because I LOVE my wellies! (Secret about my wellies: They are from Costco. Seriously! I struck a deal with these babies.)

Sweater & Necklace: H&M (very old!) // Khakis: F21 // Hunter Boots: CostCo

I'm digging into the back of my closet lately because I just do not have the budget to shop. Sometimes it's really good to do just that!

TV Cabinet Turned Clothing Armoire!!

Special Happy Birthday to our dear Elyse today!!!!!!!
Happy Happy Birthday!!!! XOXOXOXOXO!!

Each day we are getting closer to finishing Baby Girl's Room...only five-ish  weeks to go!!!
We decided that in addition to her closet, we wanted to find an armoire for her room.  They were all WAY too expensive so we decided to take another route.

We found this cute little number on Craig's List for a GREAT price.  It was originally designed as an "old-er school" TV cabinet.  All of her furniture is white so my hubby chalk painted the outside white (and sanded the edges to give an antique-y vibe) and the inside grey.

We added some cuteness with the pink knobs...

He hung a rod for the clothes and added a little shelf for her shoes (or what not) and VIOLA!!!
