Fab Friday Find... Painted old wall sconce & a gnome!

Happy Black Friday everyone!!  Hope your Thanksgiving was absolutely wonderful!

I hope, if you braved the stores today, you had a successful saving day and ALL your holiday shopping is now done...unlike mine :-)

My Friday find is NOT from today, but it is from the same day (and place) I found my chairs at Digs in Waterford. Mitch and I decided to stay close to home and walk (what a gorgeous morning) to breakfast and then get some things done around here.

It is an old gold wall sconce that was painted a beautiful blue...it went PERFECTLY with our master bedroom!!  So, since the price was more that right, I swooped it up!

**Ignore the fact that I have not yet put candles in it... :-)

I haven't decided if I should move it down on the wall or not.  So until it really bugs me...here it will stay.  :-)

And so! I (Elyse) did go out to black Friday shop, wow deals!! I got these gems from Target to add to my Christmas decor and I wanted to share because if you know me, you know I love gnomes! Target had a really cute light up Santa gnome, buttttt I think B would have killed me if I spent $40 on that guy. So, this lil blue fella and the deer I got to match will have to do!

And if you haven't checked out Target's Christmas decor, it's totally worth a look!

Enjoy your weekend!

XO, K&E

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Sending all of our love this Thanksgiving!! Gobble gobble y'all.

With B out of town coaching skiing, this was his view yesterday ....

....so, I don't have any pics nearly as cute as K&M's. Here is my cousin, Aimee, and I snuggled up on the couch though!

HAAAAAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Fabulous Friday Finds

TGIF!!!!!!!! Boy, looking back that week zoomed by!!

Mitch and I have been consigning for chairs for our dinning room table (that we are made-and are ALMOST done with!!!) for quite some time now.  One side will be a bench, each end will have armed "coushie" chairs and the other side will have three armless chairs.

My dear friend, Bethany (and her precious baby girl) and I,  were out consignment shopping last weekend and I FINALLY found chairs that I LOVE!  They had the perfect character, rustic-ness and fab price we were looking for.  I had been to the Digs in Clarkston, but never the Digs in Waterford.  We went to both and I found these numbers at the Waterford location!  First time luck, I guess :-)

Here they are at their new home!

Once the table is complete, I will give a break down of what our creation consists of!!  Give us a couple weeks and I will show the end product. :-)

Have a GREAT weekend everyone!!

XO, K

Whatever Wednesday-Gender Reveal!!

As Elyse and I pondered what to discuss this Wednesday, it dawned on us that I haven't filled you all in on my good news.....Mitch and I are expecting our first child March 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am currently 21 weeks :-)

So, we decided that we should tell you all about our gender reveal party we had last week.

Mitch and I went to the Dr. on a Tuesday, for our 20 week ultrasound, and asked the tech to put the gender in an envelope.  We had to turn our heads a couple times so we wouldn't see "the gender"...as if I would know what I was looking for (at the time) anyhow...

I called the local bakery the week prior and told them our plan.  We were to bring them the envelope after our appointment, they would give us the cupcake that had the correct gender color filling and Mitch and I would take it to dinner and eat it for dessert...if we could wait that long.

So, we got home, threw our stuff down and walked to the local bakery.  They were SO excited to see us :-)

Mitch and I carried the box further down the street and had dinner at a fabulous place called The Laundry.  We ate our entire dinner with the box just starring at us... We were tempted to look tho!!

So after dinner, we slowly opened the box and peeked at our cupcake...as if something was going to pop out of the box!

Mitch and I, both, were convinced it was a little man... but to our surprise...

It was PINK!!!!!!

It was SUCH a wonderful and excited day!!!  We just LOVED that we were able to share this special moment just the two of us.  There are so few exciting surprises left in the world, that this was a day I would remember always!

A while back we decided that we wanted to share the news with our immediate family in the same fashion.  So we sent these darling invites to the parents, siblings and grandparents. The party was to be a few days after Mitch and I found out....so it sure was tough to keep THAT secret!

The theme being "ties or tutu's" it seemed fitting to use the banner I fell in love with on Etsy.  Didn't she do a fabulous job???

***We ordered the same cupcakes for the fam

After dinner, everyone picked what flavor cupcake they wanted.  I was hard to keep the grandma's from cutting into the cupcakes...we had to watch them trying to peek :-)   We told everyone on the count of three they could bite (or cut) into the cupcake.  We turned the video on, counted back from three and everyone cut into the cakes at the same time.  Everyone was so excited, all you can hear was screaming.  I had to ask, "what do you see???"  Finally my sister at the end of the video yelled, "PINK!!"  It was so unbelievably fun to what everyone's excitement.  I will remember that moment always.

One may say, boy you sure dragged it out....but we loved every minute of all of it!  Seeing everyone's face was absolutely priceless.

I know the cupcake/reveal thing is all the rage right now, but it sure was a fabulous, fun and exciting week!!!

Talk to you soon!!

Monday Mode'n

Here's to another Monday!!!  For some reason getting an extra hour of sleep Sunday made me MORE tired today....how is that possible?!?!?  Here is the style I sported today :-)

**  Sorry about my pasty white legs...

Shoes:  JCrew  //  Skirt:  Target  //  Belt:  Forever 21 (from another dress)  //  Long Sleeve T:  Old Navy  Necklace:  Charlotte Russe

I am sorry to say that everything (besides the shoes) are a bit old...  I got the shoes on sale this past summer tho!!

I (Elyse) got this shirt in my Stitch Fix last week and I knew I wanted to rock it today. I love that it is kind of a high-low shirt and I think I'm obsessed with burgundy this fall. I plan to dress this up with a skirt in the future, too! (PS: Have you tried Stitch Fix?? Click here and get signed up people, it is so funnnnnn!)

Shirt: Stitch Fix // Pants: Forever 21 // Accessories: Forever 21 // Shoes: Target

Until Wednesday! XO, K&E

Fabulous Fall Friday!

This Fab Friday, I wanted to show off my new jacket for fall! Picked this baby up from Target ... they have SO many cute jackets for a very reasonable price right now. I'm obsessed with the print and the fact that it has a hood! I sized up to a M (I'd normally wear a small) so that I could fit long sleeves/sweatshirts underneath, but I love it! I mostly love that I can wear it to work and out on the weekend as well. Always a plus to find a cute new jacket! XO, E

Jacket: Target

Monday Mode...Ankle Boots, Polka Dots, Harem Pants ... ohmy!

Happy Halloween week everyone!!!
Hope you all enjoy the fun festivities.  Here are two outfits from last week.  I am having the hardest time finding the newer items online and even struggling more with "similar" items for the old :-(
Sorry for the non-helpfullness :-(

Wasn't quite sure about my pants here, but they were $6 on sale from Target, so I thought "Why the heck not!?" I ended up loving them, a look that can be both casual & dressy!
