Whatever Wednesday...Lash Extensions!!

Hiya hiya!!

Hope everyone is fabulous!!

At first I was unsure about my "Whatever Wednesday" post this week.  But, after talking to Elyse and thinking about it a bit more...I had to share!!

So, to back up the train a bit, while getting my make up done for my trial run for the wedding...I fell in love with my amazing make-up artist's eye lashes.  She told me all about them and said that she was going through the training and would be certified soon.  THEN my fabulous girl friend, and hair dresser, got them about four months later.  I just loved them on her as well.  I then decided that I was going to save up for my very own!!

Now, here is the part that I justify them to you... in order to make myself feel better... :-)

I am not one to get mani's and pedi's all the time or buy expensive clothes.  I cut coupons and go 5 weeks too long to get my hair redone...SO that is why I told myself I HAD to have them!!  For some reason I just couldn't stop thinking about how great they looked on the ladies and bit the bullet and made an appointment for myself.  Whenever I get my make up done, I just love the look of the added lashes.

I don't even need to wear mascara (on the top)!!!  How amazing is that?!?  I just "brush" them twice a day and POOF.

So how they work:

They are glued individually onto EACH of your natural lashes.  The first time it takes about two hours...then every 4/5 weeks I will go the get them filled.  The fill only takes about 30 ish minutes.

Check out Novalash for more info.

I just LOVE them and they are so easy...it took me a few days to get used to the length and curl, but now I am not sure I want to see myself without them :-)

Email me if you would like any additional info :-)

Forewarning you about the super duper close ups...

Yes...I was in the car, BUT stopped at a stop light!!!

**sorry 'bout the crazy eyes and scraggly pieces of hair...and whoa my makeup looks a lil cray**

Mode Monday

Hi all!

I wanted to share my cute lil "varsity" sweater from Forever21 this week. H for Horner, my maiden name! It has quickly become my go-to sweater for fall. How cute is it?! I threw it on with my Toms today, but I am in desperate need of these Toms booties, like yesterday. I love them!

Fab Friday... Couple days late.

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It sure was a beauty!!!

I spotted this lil number a few weeks ago and it would not leave my mind. I called Pigeon in the Parlour (in Holly MI) to see if it was still there, and sure thing it was!!!! I currently have it on a table in our dining room, but plan to have it as a centerpiece for our actual dining room table when it is done.

In love :)

While pondering things to share on this fab Friday, I realized that I had never talked about the line that we hang things on in our kitchen! B created this after a hanging line that we saw in our best friend's, the Mays, house. They got theirs from Ikea, but since we don't get out that way much, B decided to create it! He used door knobs from our wedding to make the line and we use clips for ID badges to hang whatever. What we hang is the best part! We switch our line up every couple months with something new. During the summer it was all of our summer goals. Currently we have lines from songs. At Christmas we hang all of our cards. I just love this unique lil piece!

Whatever Wednesday: Date Night!

First of all, thank you to all of our loyal readers who have stuck by us while Kristin changed schools, Elyse worked 2 jobs, and all kinds of other craziness. We don't want to lose our blog or our followers and we appreciate each and every one of you!

We were thinking that Wednesdays were becoming a little repetitive and wanted to spice it up with something exciting that would help you get to know us a little better, so we came up with ... wait for it, it's genius ... Whatever Wednesday! Where we both (or solo) talk about whatever is on our minds!

Today we're talking date night ideas. It seems that it's all too often where we have a Friday or Saturday night with no place to go and no good ideas. For the Rosengrens, that happens the most in the winter (somehow I can always find my way to the pool in the summer, instant date/hang out spot!) So, here are some date night (or day!) suggestions that we have for ya'll!

1. Take a thrifting trip! B and I love thifting for nothing in particular and usually come back with something awesome! We actually like to do this with Ikea, too. You can spend forever in that store. And the best thing we do afterwards is stop for an appetizer or a beer at a new place we've never been to before. That's the best way to motivate B to shop!

Thrifting date day!

2. Do a themed happy hour! Basically every Friday in the winter, B and I have Friday happy hours because it's just a tad too cold to go out to the bar. We alternate who can pick the theme and then we part ways, get themed out, and then meet at our basement bar. Keeps our happy hours fun & exciting!

80s theme, baby.

3. Go to the mall! We actually have a game when we do this one. We each get a $5 limit and 1 hour to get the other person something with that $5. Last time we did this, I got B a shirt from Forever 21 (they have guy clothes, too!) and he got me a gift card for a restaurant (where we actually ended up spending more money). It was fun when we were running around the mall on a mission and actually passed each other about 15 minutes before time was up with nothing in our hands. It's hard to get someone something cool for under $5!

My view from F21 on our shopping extravaganza.

4. Go geocaching! Warning: this is my nerdy idea. There is a free app you can download on the iphone called "Geocaching" (the Intro is free...download that!) and there is a community out there where people will hide things in certain areas, you follow the directions on the app (these could be annnnywhere!) and when you find the "treasure" you sign your name on the log. Sometimes there are things to take, really teeny lil things, but the rule is that you have to leave something. It's a real thing, people! Click here if you want to read about it. (Told ya that one was nerdy)

Jenni & B the very first time we successfully found a geocache. Nerd fun!

Do you guys have any good date night ideas? We'd love to hear! We're always looking to change up our date nights!
