Baby Shower Centerpieces

Hi everybody!

So, my amazing Mother-in-Law threw us a BEAUTIFUL shower for Baby Girl!  Beyond the great food, family, friends, more than generous gifts and showering Lil' Miss with love, I wanted to talk about the adorable idea for the centerpieces.

She bought the most adorable outfits for every table!!  She painted the stands in the nursery colors too (can't see in the pics) Isn't that SUCH a great idea???  The best part?  I got to take them home! :-)  Looks like we already have an Easter and Christmas outfit! :-)  I snapped a few pics of them so you could see!!

***On the cake table, we also displayed my baby bump progress (every two weeks-starting at 10 weeks)

Thanks for reading.  Hope you enjoyed the idea :-)

Fab Friday - Our Dining Room "Door Top" Table is Complete!

Hello and TGIF to you!!!!

Can you believe this weather?!?!?! The temps are simply unbearable!  Hopefully everyone is staying warm!

Ok, so I spoke too soon...the table is ALMOST complete... We have yet to put the hardware back on the door, but hey, it is pretty darn close!!  The most important piece in now in place!

As a wedding present, my amazing Aunt made this stain glass piece that we inserted into the section of the door that we cut out.  Isn't she extremely talented?  We feel so blessed to have such a special piece of art made by a loved one! Thank you, again, Aunt Jeannie!!!!!!!!!! XOXOXOXO!

** Those holes are where the hardware should be for the door...

**I think I should take our runner off to showcase the stained glass piece better!!!!

So from start to finish, here is what we did to create this little number.

The table base was made by my hubby out of reclaimed barn wood.
Our chairs were purchased at Digs Consignment (their Waterford location).
The bench was specifically hand made and chalk painted for our table dimensions through Pigeon in the Parlour of Holly MI.
The old door, full of character, we purchased from our wedding venue, the wonderful Lafayette Grande (as a forever memento :-) ).
We purchased our glass pieces (to sandwich the stained glass art between and protect) at the wonderful and amazing (family owned) company, Fenton Glass.

So, there ya have it!!  Our "door top" table is complete-ish!!!!

Have a fabulous weekend!

WW - Planning (someone else's) Wedding!

Helloooooo all! So, as Kristin and I had talked about earlier, we have been asked to REALLY plan a wedding! Like, really really. From start to finish! We are so dang excited and just adore the sweet girl who is putting the trust in us for one of the best days of her life. We've been working on some ideas and inspiration and we are SO excited to share some of them here!

The color focus for this wedding are golds, creams, and blush pinks -- very romantic and soft. It's also an all outdoor wedding, with the ceremony in the woods (HUGEEE, tall, AMAZING trees!) and a tent set up on the water. It is so dreamy. In late June the weather should be absolutely perfect.

After Kristin and I brainstormed last week some ideas, we were so excited to start putting together some Pinterest boards with ideas! Between us and the bride here are some ideas we've come up with: chandeliers in the trees, a burlap/lace aisle runner, soft candlelight/twinkle light, Moet champagne place cards/favors, chaivari chairs... doesn't this sound amazing??

Here's some inspiration ideas:

Dreamy, right?! We can't even wait to share even more!!

MM - Keepin' Cozy!

Haaaaaaaaaappy Monday!

I hope everyone had a second to reflect and appreciate Dr. Martin Luther King's efforts and the incredible impact he had on today's society.

Remember my black and blue riding boots from VS a couple weeks ago?  Well...in the magazine, they were paired with the cutest riding leggings.  SOOOOOO.....I had to get them too :-)

Boots:  Nine West (similar)  //  Leggings:  Victoria's Secret  //  Tunic:  Forever 21 (old)  //  Sweater:  Target (old) //  Bracelets:  Alex and Ani and Stella and Dot

Hello everyone! Sorry I've missed ya'll lately. Had some craziness going on in my family, but things are coming around the bend now and all is going to be well! I just wanted to show off my adorable Patagonia retro fleece that I got from my in-laws for Christmas. The funny story behind this fleece: I picked it out of the Moosejaw catalog when B brought it home and he immediately told me they're like all sold out everywhere. Then he challenged me to find one online and I couldn't. Even told me he had an item number at his desk and looked it up every day to see if they were getting it in stock. Basically, that I was NOT going to get the fleece. But, lo and behold, he found out when they were getting a shipment one day and passed it along to his parents because he knew I wanted it so bad! :) If you do not own any Patagonia, it is a great company and so cozy! You can find their fleeces here, they have LOTS of cute colors and out of 75 reviews 67 are 5 "mooses" and 8 are 4 mooses! That's legit.

(Please ignore my 'i didn't do my hair, hair') Chat Wednesday!

WW - Bumper-less Crib Bedding

Hi there!

Ok so... I am probably going to end up being a paranoid first time mom... I already over analyze everything as it is.

I himmed and hawed over whether or not to get bumpers for Miss Thaaang's crib. Of course I read too many reports (even an article about it on CNN).  Despite my readings, I had decided to get them (or find breathable ones) when I ran across these "guard rail covers".  I thought these where so unique and different that I had to have them instead!! AND it will save the crib from little chompers!

I ordered mine from Linen Baby Boutique on Etsy.  The nursery is grey, white and pink so we decided to order the guard rail in grey (for all three tiers) with pink ties.  Then for the ruffled crib skirt (on the bottom) I ordered the top tier to be grey, the middle layer grey and white damask and the bottom layer pink tulle!!!!!

I cannot WAIT for them to come in!!!!!

I will post about them when they arrive...(and when the nursery is closer to being ready)...still have a ways to go :/

Have a great night!!!
