Hello and TGIF to you!!!!
Can you believe this weather?!?!?! The temps are simply unbearable! Hopefully everyone is staying warm!
Ok, so I spoke too soon...the table is ALMOST complete... We have yet to put the hardware back on the door, but hey, it is pretty darn close!! The most important piece in now in place!
As a wedding present, my amazing Aunt made this stain glass piece that we inserted into the section of the door that we cut out. Isn't she extremely talented? We feel so blessed to have such a special piece of art made by a loved one! Thank you, again, Aunt Jeannie!!!!!!!!!! XOXOXOXO!
** Those holes are where the hardware should be for the door...
**I think I should take our runner off to showcase the stained glass piece better!!!!
So from start to finish, here is what we did to create this little number.
The table base was made by my hubby out of reclaimed barn wood.
Our chairs were purchased at Digs Consignment (their Waterford location).
The bench was specifically hand made and chalk painted for our table dimensions through Pigeon in the Parlour of Holly MI.
The old door, full of character, we purchased from our wedding venue, the wonderful Lafayette Grande (as a forever memento :-) ).
We purchased our glass pieces (to sandwich the stained glass art between and protect) at the wonderful and amazing (family owned) company, Fenton Glass.
So, there ya have it!! Our "door top" table is complete-ish!!!!
Have a fabulous weekend!
XO, K & E
