WW: Kristin's Top 5 Favorite Wedding Moments

Hi there!

First of all...Picking ONLY five was very very tough because it truly was THE BEST DAY of my life!!!!!  I cannot WAIT to see the video to live it all over again :-)  I may have gone a bit overboard with the pics...Sorry about that.  I just could NOT narrow down what I wanted to talk about or show you!!

Thank you E.C. Campbell Photography for capturing such amazing memories and Lafayette Grande for your amazing venue/staff!  I have a million more people to thank...perhaps I will talk about all of my amazing vendors, who truly made our vision come to life, in an upcoming WW!?!?

In no particular order, here we go!

1.  Getting to see Mitch for the first time!!!
Mitch and I did a "first look" as well.  Due to the fact that our wedding started later in the evening
(and the ceremony and the reception were at the same location) we decided to give it a whirl.  It was
SUCH an exciting and special moment.  As Elyse mentioned, it is not for everyone but we loved   every minute of it.  We were able to mingle with our guests more (as much as you can with the craziness of the evening), our bridal party was able to start partying sooner and enjoy cocktail hour, the post wedding pics were speedy AND we were able to do our rooftop photos that I HAD to have!!!

***This was taken before our first look...

***Here I come down the staircase.  We still had not seen one another yet :-)

***The moment :-)

2.  My Dad walking me down the aisle!!
My father's health has had it's ups and downs.  There was question if he would be able to walk me down the aisle.  He did it!!

***I did not know my Dad did this at the time, but my amazing photographer caught the moment.  Here is a pic of him giving Mitch a "thumbs up"...he got me there! My proud papa :)

3.  Our Ceremony!!!  (More specifically reading our own vows)
I just loved every minute of our ceremony!  We were SO lucky to have so many of our loved ones there!!!  It was a FULL house but it had such an intimate, light hearted and magical vibe to it.  Mitch and I wrote our own vows.  I wrote mine down...he did not!  Brave man!!!  It was so special to be able to share and express our love and compassion for one another at that moment.

*** I cannot remember exactly what I said here...but it must have been funny :-)

4.  Our rooftop sunset photos/moments away with one another.
This day was for us to celebrate our love and future together with our family and friends...HOWEVER it was nice to escape for a few moments here and there to just reflect and be with each other, away from the hustle and bustle of it all.  Regardless of the time we took for each other...hoping to slow it all down...the night still FLEW by :-(

5.  How it ALL came together!!
From your dress, bridesmaids dresses, shoes, jewelry, flowers, ties, hair, colors, venue, food, cake, centerpieces, ETC!!!!  The decisions never stop.  It was SO fun to see how it all came together...especially when it exceeds your vision and expectations.  Planning a wedding yourself (with TONS of help from family and friends) is hard work...but in the end, it was SO great to see my vision come to life!!!!

*** My bouquet (and hair piece) was compiled from brooches given to me by loved ones (if you read the earlier post, here is the finished product...thank you Mom and Renee, you guys are amazing).  Each one represented someone near and dear to Mitch and I.

***Don't we have a great looking support group?????

*** My dress...so in love!  It took an army to get it on me, double sided fashion tape and all (ha), but loved every minute of putting it on!!! Thank you, Bridal Couture, for everything!!!

***It was SUCH an amazing feeling walking into a room FULL of your loved ones, there for you!  It was quite surreal!  We felt so much love that we had to get up and say a quick thank you to everyone.

Thank you (again) E.C.Campbell Photography for capturing these moments we will now have for a lifetime!!!  You truly are amazing!!
Thank you to EVERYONE who helped make this day THE BEST DAY EVER!!!

Sorry if I put too many pics on ....again, just couldn't decide!!!! :-)  Thanks for reading!

Elyse and I would love to hear your favorite moments!!!  Or tell us your special wedding-to-be moments that you are looking for!  Share share share!

  1. I've so enjoyed looking through all your wedding pics and favorite moments, ladies! Brings back so many great memories of my Best. Day. EVER!!
My favorite moment of my wedding??? That moment when we, too, were able to stop and think about the fact that, ohmygoodness!!, we were married!! For me, this came during our first dance. I balled like a baby with tears of joy. I just couldn't believe I had finally married my perfect person. :)
